Bonjour from Paris!! I haven’t been able to get on the internet nearly as much as I was hoping for… but for good reason- I’m having too much fun in Paris!!! I absolutely love it here and will be so sad to leave. : ( Only a couple more days left of my trip and tomorrow we’re renting bicycles and riding around the city!! I’m sooo excited!
I will be able to blog TONS more when I get back home… but for now here is one of my favorites from here!
Well, my beloved family, friends and followers — I am about to board a plane in a few days and make one of my biggest dreams come true!! I’m going to PARIS, FRANCE!! And this isn’t just any regular vacation either – I’m going to a Boudoir photography workshop while there. If you know a lot about me or my photography, you’ll know that Boudoir is something I am VERY passionate about. It’s always been a form of art that has always been very intriguing to me as an artist… but I was never sure if it would be something I’d really pursue as I got into my business. Over the years I’ve come to discover that I absolutely love it and want to fully dive into it. (You can see several samples on my website – www.dellafiora.com) An amazing opportunity opened up for me last fall to be able to attend the boudoir workshop in Paris with 13 other female photographers. Originally I missed out on it as they had filled all the spots before I had a chance to sign up! But I was fortunate enough that someone cancelled a few days later and next thing I know, I am buying my flight to Paris. YAY! I can’t tell you how excited I am about this opportunity. This is my first time to Europe – I am pumped! I look forward to not only learning more about my love – the art of boudoir photography – but also experiencing Paris, making new friends, and getting amazing photos that I can come home and share with you all!!
To all you ladies out there considering a boudoir session – I encourage you to make it happen. I think every woman should do a boudoir session at least once in her life. It’s something that not only your significant other will truly appreciate, but you will have SO much fun getting glammed up, feeling beautiful, and rockin’ it out for the camera. You will cherish the photos for the rest of your life.
I am really hoping I will be able to blog a little bit while there… but I have no idea what my internet conditions will be like. ALSO — I will be answering emails once I get back home. (***UPDATE– I will be back on April 9th to answer any emails or phone calls.***)
I am going to warn you — this coming week is going to be very crazy with several shoots, projects and getting ready for Paris (more on that later). I doubt I will be able to blog as much as I would like to but I will try my hardest!
This past December I had the honor of shooting Leila and Beau’s beautiful wedding. Leila is Persian so her wedding was very special and unique. Two ceremonies (one traditional- one Persian) and one huge party for a reception. It was so much fun being a part of their special day… my favorite part (besides the beautiful couple) was all the incredible Persian music and Persian dancing!! It was SO COOL!! Leila has been an amazing bride from day one. I couldn’t possibly thank her enough for being so incredible!!
Here are a few of my favorites from their Newlywed session I recently shot:
Totally loving her cowboy boots–
How COOL is that sword!?!
I loooove long veils.
Aren’t they a beautiful couple??
I caught this last shot of Leila and Beau as we walked to the car once the shoot was over. She is so cute!!
Also, I’ve been playing around with the video option on my camera and here is a little clip from their session:
Hey all you facebookers out there — this message is for you! If you’re not already my friend, please come add me! Facebook is definitely my favorite social network of choice. I think Mark Zuckerberg is a genius for creating it!! I only wish I was as smart as him!)
So if you’re a facebook junkie like me, please feel free to come make yourself known! I’d love to be your cyber friend!!
You can find my facebook profile HERE. Or you can just type in “Courtney Dellafiora” to the search bar in Facebook.
Today is my lovely lab’s 3 year old birthday. And although it might be cheesy to write a whole blog post about my dog… I’m doing it anyway!!) She has been one of my greatest joys in life and I absolutely adore her. Whoever said a dog is a man’s best friend hit the nail on the head. They don’t ever judge you, they love you no matter what you look like, or if you’re having a bad day, or even if you forget to give them some attention – they never hold it against you! They are so loyal to you and love you NO MATTER WHAT. I LOVE my dog, Mischa. She has gotten me through some rough times in my life and I don’t know what I would do without her.
Happy Birthday Mischa!!
Below are a couple of photos when she was a puppy and then one from today. Isn’t she cute? ; )
