I am going to warn you — this coming week is going to be very crazy with several shoots, projects and getting ready for Paris (more on that later). I doubt I will be able to blog as much as I would like to but I will try my hardest!

This past December I had the honor of shooting Leila and Beau’s beautiful wedding. Leila is Persian so her wedding was very special and unique. Two ceremonies (one traditional- one Persian) and one huge party for a reception. It was so much fun being a part of their special day… my favorite part (besides the beautiful couple) was all the incredible Persian music and Persian dancing!! It was SO COOL!! Leila has been an amazing bride from day one. I couldn’t possibly thank her enough for being so incredible!!

Here are a few of my favorites from their Newlywed session I recently shot:

Today is my lovely lab’s 3 year old birthday. And although it might be cheesy to write a whole blog post about my dog… I’m doing it anyway!! :o) She has been one of my greatest joys in life and I absolutely adore her. Whoever said a dog is a man’s best friend hit the nail on the head. They don’t ever judge you, they love you no matter what you look like, or if you’re having a bad day, or even if you forget to give them some attention – they never hold it against you! They are so loyal to you and love you NO MATTER WHAT. I LOVE my dog, Mischa. She has gotten me through some rough times in my life and I don’t know what I would do without her.

Happy Birthday Mischa!!

Below are a couple of photos when she was a puppy and then one from today. Isn’t she cute? ; )

I’m not a big Beyonce fan, but I somehow came across her latest video for the song “Halo” and I am in love!! With the video and song of course… mostly the video though. If I were a video director, this is exactly how I would have shot it. It’s completely gorgeous and tells the beautiful story of two people in love. I love how sweet and gentle it is. This video completely represents how I see love. Wearing a tank top, totally raw and with no makeup, laying around on the couch or brushing your teeth together and feeling completely comfortable and happy with the simplicity of it all… because you’re doing it with your best friend and your lover. That you don’t even have to be talking… just sitting in a room together and looking into each others eyes is more than enough for you. That nothing around you matters… it’s just you two, together… completely connected and deeply bonded on every level.

I am incredibly inspired by this music video. I already feel like a better photographer after watching it. Thank you Beyonce & Michael Ealy for doing an amazing job at portraying love in this video and sharing it for the world to see.

You can watch the video HERE.

I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since I shot Alisse and Jeff’s wedding. Where does the time go!?! I adore Alisse! She was such a support to me with all of her words of encouragement when I ventured into the new and exciting world of starting my own photography business. She is one of those people who have always believed in me and for that I am so grateful! If it weren’t for her and countless others in my life… I might not have had the courage to make it happen! So thank you Alisse! You have no idea how much I appreciate it.

She recently contacted me wanting to get some updated photos of her and Jeff. Here are a few of my favorites!

Because of the whole bartop by the pool, this one seriously makes me want to be in the Bahamas sipping on a piña colada with an umbrella in it!
