Even though I have accomplished so much already, I feel like I haven’t even begun to reach my truest and greatest potential in life. Since I was 15, I have known I was meant for greatness. Right now I am just building the foundation for what I believe God has created me to do and to be. I have so many dreams and ideas for things I want to accomplish and lives I want to change. Sometimes I feel as though I am going to burst because there is so much inside of me that is dying to get out. I have to constantly remind myself ONE STEP AT A TIME.

For the past 6 years I have been making steps to building my future. I began my own company, and watched it grow more and more successful each year. I have accomplished and learned so much during this time but I always knew it was only the beginning to what God really had planned for my life. I have always had a deeper yearning for so much more, but knew I needed to spend my time focusing and building this first big step of my journey. For it has all been a part of what I know is the bigger plan.

In the last week I have made some pretty huge decisions about my life. Decisions I knew I would need to make someday. I didn’t expect that I would make them now… but I just felt in my heart NOW was the time to decide. I am beyond excited and peaceful about my new plans and goals.  I feel extremely peaceful about it and believe it is truly the next big and scary step for me to take in fulfilling my destiny in life. Nothing major will change for at least a year, but just knowing I have a plan in motion is more than enough for me now.

Thank you God for your inspiration. The best is yet to come.

I bought my very first house this past December. I cannot even begin to express how obsessed I am with it. It was MADE FOR ME. I LOVE IT!!! It’s the perfect style, location, everything. I immediately began transforming it as soon as I moved in. It still has several things that I have to do to it, but I at least wanted to show you what I have done so far.

NOTE:
Still working on the rooms listed below, but those photos will come soon!
Not pictured: Master bath, guest bath, guest room, garage with large closet, washer/dryer room, staircase to secret room, backyard.

Sidenote: All prints on the walls were photographed by me. : )

BEFORE AND AFTERS:

Living Room: (say hello to Mischa and Sushi, they wanted to be sure and be included in the photos)

Living Room/Dining:

Could be a dining room or reading room or whatever. I made it my little cuddle corner/office: (I still need to change out that light fixture.)

homedesign011

One of the small bedrooms, that I turned into my TV room: (I still have to replace the carpet with wood floors.)

NOTE: There is another small bedroom, that I turned into a guest room. I am not done with that room, so there are no photos… yet.

Secret room that I turned into my dream girl closet, duh!: (Originally wasn’t sure what type of floor I wanted. Usually I am ANTI-CARPET, but I wanted my girl cave to feel soft and fluffy so I went with the most luxurious walking-on-a-cloud white carpet that exists. And I freaking love it.)

This room still needs some magic. Such as a curtain and furniture. One step at a time!

This wall is special to me. It has so many different gifts I have been given by my friends over the years. Along with a few of my own favorite photos and things I created. I plan to continue to add to this as time goes on. It makes me happy.

So when I was looking at listings online to find my dream home, my particular house’s listing barely had any photos at all. The ones below were all they had. Ick. Even though I couldn’t see the bedrooms, bathrooms, secret room, yard, etc… I still felt something for this one and decided to go look at it. I am so glad I looked past these awful photos and decor, because I am IN LOVE with my home!!

May I ask what the paint color is on your walls? Is it one shade or different shades of grey? I have exposed brick in my house as well and was going to paint the walls a similar color.ReplyCancel

I’m not sure what color Courtney used – but I used “pussywillow” from Sherwin Williams in my apartment which is very reminiscent of what I’m seeing in Courtney’s photos. You should get a sample and give it a try!ReplyCancel

Would you ever consider helping someone else decorate thier home and give websites and places where picked up some of the fantastic stuff you have put in your space. Im looking to hopefully have my own place soon and its just me and my daughter and we are super girly and you have the touch when it comes to beauty and i dont even know where to begin with all of that goodness. Also do you ever sell your photos(the scenery ones that is ) to be blown up and put on canvas for other people ? I just have a bajillion questions :)ReplyCancel

I am looking for a bed with similar style but no luck. Anyone know where I can find one? I found one of the pictures in a website called fabulous and baroque but I’m not sure if I trust it.ReplyCancel

On my last trip to Europe, I did not bring my professional photography equipment. I wanted to be completely free from it. But while there, I decided I should do a mini iPhone shoot of Emily during our day in Paris. I was excited about the challenge of doing a shoot with a cell phone. We had so much fun with it. It was hilarious the looks we got while I was directing this photoshoot all while holding a cell phone! HA!!! It was definitely not easy, but I love what I got.

Omgosh, internet… I am completely obsessed with my new house. I have never felt happier or more at home than I do now. There is just something about buying your own little place that feels amaaaaazing and nothing like renting. Renting always felt temporary. And now I feel HOME!!! And it’s all mine mine. I have done so much to it in the one month I have owned it. I can’t wait to post some before and afters of the whole place once I get it a little more where I want it.  I truly thrive when I am free to do whatever I want and this house is just another example of that. It makes me so happy to be able to do whatever I want to it and customize it to make it feel completely like Courtney’s house. All of my friends who have seen it so far already walk in and go “yes this is totally a Courtney house”. I love that.

This is truly one of the best decisions I have made. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you God for this blessing!!

More soon y’all.

I will forever love you.
