Donations for Peru orphanage.

You may or may not already know this, but I am taking a group of people to Peru in August for 10 days. (You can read ALL about this trip in my post about Peru here.)  4 of these days will be spent at an orphanage outside of Lima. I am SO SO SO excited about this amazing trip and can’t believe how fast it’s approaching. I spent most of my teenage years living in Peru, so this country is so special to my heart. The orphanage was always one of my favorite ministries — the children are just amazing — and I cannot wait to spend this time with them while we are there.

The reason I am writing this post is to give you an opportunity to play a part in this trip. If you have kids who have toys, games or clothes they no longer use, you can donate them to the orphanage in Peru! The ages of the children range all the way up to 17 years old so anything is welcome! We will also need luggage to take the stuff to Peru. So if you have an old suitcase you don’t use anymore and would like to donate it, please do! We will be leaving the luggage in Peru with the orphanage as well.

So here are the details:

Donate the following:

1. Toys
2. Clothes
3. Games
4. If you have children’s books that happen to be in Spanish, that is welcome too!
5. Luggage
6. Candy

You can drop off any of those things to the following address anytime by July 30, 2011. Please be sure to drop off only between the following hours: Mon-Wed, between 6pm-6am only. Thurs-Sun, anytime. Please drop off your items on the back porch by the door to avoid anything getting wet in case of rain. I have had some people ask me if they can ship items to us. Absolutely! The following address can be used to ship items to.

The Boudoir Vixen Studio
3362 Brentwood Dr.
Baton Rouge, La 70809

Nothing is too small to give. The children in Peru are incredibly grateful for anything they are ever given. It will seriously melt your heart how easy it is to bring a smile to their faces. If you have any questions, please email me at peru@dellafiora.com.

To see a glimpse into the orphanage, check out the video below. And thank you from the bottom of my heart and behalf of all the children at the orphanage, thank you in advance for your donations. May God bless you and your family.
