I have been wanting to go to Thailand for YEARS. I have always been intrigued by it and also have heard nothing but amazing things about it. I was thrilled to finally be making it happen. And I can honestly say, I am SO ready to go back and see more of it. I loved my time there but I still want to see more of this amazing place!!! I will be back for sure. The people were so humble and so kind. And it was so much fun getting to travel all over this amazing place to explore and discover so many wonders. I loved every single moment of it. But if I had to say what my favorite moments were, it would definitely be… 1. meeting Duangdao 2. playing with tigers 3. riding elephants — I LOVE THAILAND. Already planning to go back and see more!
Personal iPhone photos coming in the next post.
The first part of the trip was spent in Bangkok:
Bangkok at night.
I swear, I want cut out plant elephants in my yard. How could you not smile every day when you look at them?? SO CUTE.
Ancient city of Ayuthaya, former capital of Siam.
The AMAZING Tiger Temple!! I don’t have many photos like this from that day because I ended up playing, bathing, feeding, cuddling the tigers instead of taking their photos. Those pictures are coming in the next post. But this day, was just incredible. Just hanging out with tigers.
Huuuuuge buddha.
Medium buddha.
Tiny buddha.
I LOVE making children laugh.
And the following photo is proof that I am hilarious.
I LOVED this moment. I came across these beautiful little Thai girls performing traditional Thai dances. It was amazing.
Sukhothai was my very favorite temple/ruins. It was SO BEAUTIFUL there!
I got to visit the silk and umbrella making factories! Quite fascinating.
On one of the last days there I was able to go visit the exotic island of Koh Talu. GORGEOUS and so deserted and peaceful.
On one of our last nights there we sent off lanterns from the beach into the sky with our wishes attached to them. It was truly a beautifully intimate moment and one I am so grateful for.
Personal iphone pictures coming up next! Including my time with the tigers as well as elephants!!
