Little Lads

In and out of weeds and dirt.
squealing, laughing, getting hurt.
Arms held out for love and hugs.
Tiny fingers finding bugs.
Rough and tumble, sweet and shy.
Snuggling for a lullaby.
Who could name the countless joys
That come from two sweet little boys.

Children are truly such precious gifts. So innocent and sweet. So full of hope and love. They are truly a reminder of God’s love for us. I want you to meet Owen and Elliot. The funniest, smartest, cutest and most well behaved children.. ever. Truly beautiful blessings sent from God. These two little boys will make you laugh until your stomach hurts. Their cleverness will leave you amazed. And their sweet nature will make your heart melt.

I recently shot some photos of them as a Christmas surprise for their daddy. If you know me, I am obsessed with British culture. So I dressed them up like little Brits did back in day. And to make it even more perfect, their great grandmother is British. : ) I absolutely love how the outfits turned out – it couldn’t have been more perfect. Hope you enjoy these sweet photos that are so special to my heart.

Loads of Personality (Blakeleigh)

I by no means claim to be a children’s photographer nor do I specialize in it. But because I have been photographing Blakeleigh since she was born, it’s been decided that I pretty much am going to be doing so the rest of her life. She is 5 years old now. GEEZ WHERE DOES THE TIME GO. It’s crazy to think in another 5 yrs she will be 10… then 15… then 20!!!! OMG she will be getting married before we know it. Shhh, don’t tell her mother. ; ) Blake is a very special child… she is the daughter of one of my cousins and one of the most beautiful children I have ever seen. This kid OOZES with personality. I mean seriously, if you want to laugh or be entertained, just hang out with Blakeleigh for a little while. This kid CRACKS me up!!!!! She is so funny, sassy, smart and talented. All around AWESOME. We always have so much fun at her shoots but I think we may have had the most fun with this one. I mean really, I was having a hard time photographing because I was laughing so hard. I got a feather pillow for her to play around with. BOY OH BOY that made a mess! I don’t recommend it!!! But it was so much fun. I wanted this shoot to be really simple and just let Blake’s personality be the main focus instead of fun props. I wanted to capture the essence and innocence of this beautiful child with this shoot so she can one day look back and really feel what her childhood was like. Fun and happy.

Be Mine: A Valentine for You (Blakeleigh)

It starts with an idea in my mind. I paint the picture in my head, then I do whatever it takes to make the inspiration that I created happen. A week ago I painted a Valentine’s Day image in my head with one of my favorite little girls, Blakeleigh. If you’ve been a long time follower, then you already know that I have been photographing this beautiful little girl (who is my cousin’s daughter) since she was 3 months old. She is almost 5 now and still just as cute and full of personality as ever. We did the shoot yesterday just in time for the big HEART day so we could give you a little LOVE!! Consider this photo shoot my Valentine’s Day card to you. I hope it makes you smile and warms your heart!! HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! Lots of XOXOXOOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO!!!

Those curls, that laugh, that playful spirit. Meet Victoria. I absolutely adore being around children who are genuinely happy and I must say Victoria is one of the happiest kids I’ve ever spent time with. She was so extremely easy to shoot… in fact I told her mom Tammy that if all children were as good and well behaved as she is, I would be a children’s photographer… MAYBE. : ) As as child I LOVED watching Shirley Temple on television. She was my idol as a child and I can say without a doubt Victoria reminded me so much of her. She was truly JUST THAT STINKIN’ CUTE and oozing with personality. I genuinely adored shooting Victoria and absolutely love how her photos turned out. I honestly had the hardest time narrowing down favorites for the blog because they were all so cute!!

Thanks Tammy and Wayne for allowing me to capture this time in your beautiful little girl’s life. I hope you cherish the photos forever!

Well you’ve heard me say it before and I will say it again, I by NO means consider myself a children’s photographer. But I’m not gonna lie, I LOVE shooting kids every now and then. There is just something about capturing the innocence of a child that I adore. AraBella’s mommy contacted me to start planning her shoot a couple of months ago and below are a few of my favorites of what we got of beautiful AraBella.

We invited Amigo (the horse) to join her for her shoot since she loves animals so much. It was perfect.

Well, if you have been following me for a while, you’ve seen a lot of this girl throughout the past 4 years. Blakeleigh is pretty famous in the “Courtney Dellafiora” world. She is truly one of the most beautiful children I have ever seen and I am so honored to have been documenting her life since she was an itty bitty baby. It’s so much fun watching her grow and comparing each session to the last one. Each time she gets cuter and easier to shoot. She is truly a little princess and I absolutely adore her! Robert + Jaden :: Anytime

I have so many awesome things to blog very soon but I am cutting in front of them to post these pictures that I shot the other day. It’s really great sometimes for me to get the chance to shoot something other than boudoir and weddings. Obviously those are my absolute favorite things to shoot and I don’t ever plan on specializing in anything else, but every now and then it’s fun to challenge my inner artist with something different.

I shot Robert and Jaden last year around this time (check out that shoot here) and he recently contacted me to take more of him and his son together. I was thrilled because Jaden is one of the cutest kids ever. He has the coolest personality and is such a joy to shoot. Enjoy a few of my favorites from their photo shoot.

Bailey & Rylee

So I don’t label myself a “children’s photographer” by any means, but every now and then I can’t resist when it comes to taking my past clients/friend’s kid’s portraits. Kimberly needed some updated ones of her two insanely GORGEOUS girls and I owed her a favor anyways so it worked out perfect! Kimberly was one of my boudoir clients and has since become such an awesome friend! She has THE most awesome personality, and cracks me up on a consistent basis. Personally, I think she deserves her own talk show — she’s that fabulous. For reals, I would watch you every day Kimber!! ; )

Below are just a few of my favorites. The girls WORKED IT. Just see for yourself…

Rylee is Kimber #2 ALLLLLL the way… she has a personality and a half. I LOVED it. Oh and PS- if you haven’t noticed by now, Kimber shares my obsession for the color pink. Another reason I heart her.

Bailey is more reserved and shy. She plays the older sister role quite nicely.
