When Emily came into my life a couple of years ago, I had no idea how special she would become to me! It all started with her following my work and promising she would hire me when she got engaged to shoot her wedding. She kept that promise and has been a wonderful client to work with. I’ve always really liked her, she is super sweet, extremely easy to get along with and just all around lovely!! I hired her several months ago to work with us and she has truly been such a pleasure to have as part of our lil team. I honestly get a little emotional thinking about our lil Emily and how grateful I am God brought her into my life. She is truly such a blessing. I can’t say it enough.

I love every single one of her images!! I love that she just lets me do my thing. (Like put her in a gold leotard for her engagement shoot, or put black lipstick on her, or little wings on her, lay her on the ground, etc etc.)

She and her fiancé Jeff got married this past weekend and I will be sharing their wedding photos real soon.

Emily, you are so lovely!!! Truly. Thank you for being you. A true Southern Belle Lady. And thank you for always laughing at me and Brandi all day long. We love your laugh. :)) LOVE YOU!!

We started the shoot with some beautiful traditional shots of Emily.

This is Emily all day long. We make her laugh a lot. We are just that funny. :))

Then Emily let us play and get creative with her photos. We were going for the completely non-traditional, which is why we decided on doing it in the studio instead of outdoors.

Yet another shot I just love that proves Brandi and I are hilarious. Haha

Today I am sharing a bridal shoot I’ve been dying to post! Katie was married this past weekend to Jason. She was a stunning bride and I can’t wait to share their wedding photos with you. But first, please enjoy some of my favorites from her bridal shoot.

I absolutely LOVED Katie’s wedding dress. So elegant, soft and different.

My favorite kind of veils are cathedral length styles. They are so gorgeous for photographs.

Wedding Gown Inspiration

If you know me at all, you know I am total girly girl. I love all things sparkly, ruffly, lace-y, vintage-y & tulle-y. I love looking at wedding gowns. There are so many TO DIE for dresses out there… I mean to die for!!!! The kind that make you go “ooooo, aaaaaahh”. The kind that make your jaw drop. I am always so inspired by talent in the artist world, and there are so many gown designers that are constantly blowing my mind. I wanted to share a few of my favorites I have seen recently to give you a little inspiration if you are a bride still looking for her perfect gown. I am here to remind you that you that your wedding is YOUR wedding and it should be unique just like you are. Don’t be afraid to step outside the box when it comes to planning your wedding or choosing a wedding gown. I hope these gowns inspire you and give you some fun ideas. : )

Let’s start with one of my favorite designers, Elie Saab. OMG, this designer is an absolute genius! His talent inspires me to no end. And his gowns… well there are no words. Except one: breathtaking! And his website is soooo romantic and dreamy.

Oh Monique Lhuiller… your soft and dreamy gowns make me want to get married just so I can wear something of yours!

Sarah Seven – I love these incredibly romantic short dresses that would just photograph beautifully and is something for the bride who loves simplicity.

Vera Wang — enough said.

Looking for an actual vintage wedding dress? I LOVE this website, MillCrest Vintage. They sell real vintage wedding gowns and the prices are super affordable.

Another favorite: Claire Pettibone. OMG, this designer’s gowns are something an angel in Heaven could wear. I am IN LOVE with her designs. SIIIIIIIIGH.

And last but not least, Romona Keveza. Love all the ruffles!!
